Superlux HD661 the latest flagship headphone from Superlux
The HD-661 can be used for monitoring as well as Hi-Fi sound reproduction because of it's wide frequency range.
It is competing with Sony MDR-7506 (V6) in the looks and sound department.

The headband is non adjustable however it feel much more comfortable compare to Superlux Hd668b. Perhaps due to the material being used. It has a glossy finishing looks. Once you wear in on your head it will look like those anime character with futuristic headphone on your head!
Out of the box the clamping force is quite hard..but not entirely unbearable..wear it a few more time and it will loosen up..it is plastic after all. You will get a good fit maybe after wearing for 2 weeks.

I am new to audiophile world and i wont be using big words to describe the sound quality.
Compare to other Superlux HD6xx this is a much more balance headphone accross the range. It definitely fit into the monitoring division because of the good treble and
strong bass response. However the overall sound quality improve when i plug in into the Fiio E11 portable Amp. Maybe i like hard punchy bass and the Fiio E11 do exactly what it is suppose to do..to give me better mid and punchy bass. It do not alter the high characteristic that much and the bass certainly do not overpower the mid and high and stay in where it suppose to be :)
Without amp the HD661 is suitable to classical music, voice audiophile recording, and basically for monitoring stuff. However with amp you can extend it usage to RnB, rock and Dance etc..
My take is i would definitely like this over the old HD668b. It just like an reincarnation of the already legendary (due to its price factor vs performance) Superlux HD668b
At RM190 this is definitely a bargain headphone. You wont go wrong with this :)
