Use this procedure to change the password you use when you log on to Windows if your computer is a member of a workgroup, and is not a member of a domain For information about changing your password if your computer is a member of a domain, click Related Topics.
1.Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
2.Under or pick an account to change, click your account.
3.Click Change my password.
4.Type your current password in Type your current password.
5.Type your new password in Type a new password and Type the new password again to confirm.
6.You can type a word or phrase to use as a memory aid for the new password in Type a word or phrase to use as a password hint.
7.Click Change Password.
Howto enable screen saver password.
1.Click Start
2.Click Settings and click Control Panel.
3.In the Control Panel window, double-click the Display Icon.
4.In the Display Properties window, click the Screen Saver tab.
5.Set the screen saver you wish to use and specify the amount of time for Windows to wait until it displays that screen saver.
6.Check the "Password protected" check box.
Note: If you're using Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, XP, or later versions of Microsoft Windows, Windows will use the same password you use to login to the computer as the password for when you resume the computer from the screen saver. If you're using Microsoft Windows ME, 98, or Windows 95, you can specify the password you wish to use by clicking the Change button.
