Olympus E-520 and 50-200 f2.8 -3.5 review.

The images below are shot using Olympus E-520 with Zuiko Digital 50-200 f2.8-3.5

Focusing was fast. Exposure is good. but the problem is i did notice the picture did came out softer than i thought i should be..if i shoot it with e3 the 50-200 will give me sharp picture ..however on e520 if give a much overall softer feel..but the pros side is the image look more natural..

Therefore i recommend +1 sharpness if using normal mode in E-520

Hi,
i have to say that images from the E520 generally are very soft.

This is weird, as the images are sharp in live preview with magnification - but are blurry when shot even in RAW.

hmm i have other similar user who complaint about the same issue..that is why i recommend a +1 sharpness setting or you sharpen it using adobe cs4 later..however i did test the e520 with 12-60 SWD and FL-50R and i get good results..

Zishan Z1 firmware Update and Manual

I found out Zishan has released a new firmware for Z1 player. It supports three new playback modes. download here.. The update is simple. All you need is the ZiShan_Z1_0.2.zip and a TF card. I used a 32GB TF card in FAT32 format. 1) Turn off Z1 player; 2) Extract app.bin from ZiShan_Z1_0.2.zip, and put it in the root directory of the TF card; 3) Insert the TF card into the player; 4) Turn on the Z1 player. The LED light will be on for 3 seconds and then blink ultra-fast for around 5 seconds. (Done). 5) Remove the file app.bin in the card. What's new in v0.2: 1) Add 180 EQ settings. (WTF...it's a screen-less player.) 2) Add 3 playback modes: Repeat, Shuffle and Default. (Very useful for me.) 3) Fix a DSD problem.
